A peacock feather is not what I would expect to find in the bathroom at the train station.

I realize that fall means the end of warmth and summer, and trees and flowers die and all that, but I don’t think having pumpkins that are the color of death is really what people want.  Just a thought, and from me who doesn’t even like fall.

Doug and I went for a short but lovely paddle on the Charles this morning, and I couldn’t resist this very typical fall New England image.

We invited Rachel over for dinner tonight, and since she is completely incapable of showing up empty-handed, we had cake for dessert.

Someone brought a bowl of animal crackers to a meeting today. I found the lesser known Cat with an Udder.

I’m pretty sure this mug used to be filled with pens, and that’s what the label on it is actually referring to….

Now, I realize my hands are small, but this is a ridiculously large apple.

For his birthday, Doug wanted to have a Pie Party.  So everyone brought pie.  And it was good!

Doug and I went to the Boston Local Food Fest on the Greenway today.  It was, as always, crowded.  They need to figure out a better arrangement.  But there were so good free samples to be had, and we both had some tasty noodles for lunch and ice cream for dessert, and it was a lovely afternoon to be walking around the city.
