Doug and I were sitting in the living room when we heard someone come onto the porch, and then leave. No bell, nothing. Seconds later, I got a text. Doug stepped outside and found this box of cupcakes, wondering aloud who had brought them. I checked the text: a note from our grocery angel, saying that this week’s surprise is on the porch.
We are so lucky.
OK, yeah, it’s pretty. But it’s still THE FUCKING DAY BEFORE HALLOWEEN!!!!!
And voting for a new day.
I wonder if this is the fellow who chased away Miss Muffet. I don’t think the rhyme said anything about sitting under a crab apple tree….
These days it’s particularly nice to have a friend stop by unexpectedly, especially when that friend has a puppy.
When we sat down, Doug said, “Oh look…I guess this is where they grow more beer.”
Spotted this in West Newton Square. As with most poetry, I don’t really get it.
I was working on a project for work, about light and reflection, and was using the laser pointer. Which makes no noise. Yet, as soon as I started, Gandlaf, who had been sound asleep in the living room, came running in to the kitchen at top speed. How did he know???
