My work here is done.

Not the best picture since I took it on my tablet, but I was glad to get it at all.  Goldfinches are Doug’s favorite backyard bird, and I always enjoy when birds come to the bath, so this was a particularly nice avian visit.

After an extremely challenging move-in day, Dad seems to have settled in to his new apartment pretty quickly.  And so have the cats.  Bruin has claimed this section of the bookcase as his own.

Someone in my local “Buy Nothing” group was giving these tiles away, and I told her if no one else wanted them, I’d take them for the turtle room at work.  I hope the turtles enjoy them.  And if they don’t, I’m certain the staff will.

Went in for my regularly scheduled CT scan today and saw this on the changing room wall.  I’ve had many XRays and CT scans over the years, and have never seen a sign like this.  Were people having trouble donning their hospital garb?

I love when a find a previous reader’s receipt in my library book; it’s fun to see what other books someone checked out, in addition to the one we have in common.  But I love the note on the bottom of this library’s receipt.

My friend Ellen came over tonight with her 11 week old poodle-shitzu mix, Peter.  He is of course adorable.

I’ll just add this to my collection of photos of various disembodied heads that appear around work.

We’ve always done all right with sunflower seed….

I guess this is a preview of what Boston will look like as it sinks into the Atlantic.
