I went to work today and Doug made waffles for tomorrow’s brunchy goodness. The house smelled wonderful when I got home.

this is an experiment I’ve been doing at work for years. The idea is to see how many drops of water will fit on the head of a penny. it’s so simple, but allows for all kinds of good conversation about predictions, variables and other science-y goodness.
The big boss set up one of the conference rooms today with lots of sugary goodness, holiday music and a virtual log fire. All very nice.
Yes, we played dreidel at lunch today. The stakes were high–we were playing for mini Hershey’s.
Poor Castor Turtle. He’s already annoyed at being out of his tank, but here I am posing him in front of Dr Seuss’s Yertle the Turtle. I have vivid memories of lying on the floor in my room and reading this book when I was little.
