As posted on Facebook, a hawk was successful in procuring some lunch this afternoon.  When we went out to see if he was still around, he was gone but his leftovers were still there, with a trail of rabbit fur leading up to it.  It didn’t look like the hawk had actually eaten much, but I didn’t really check that closely

Here’s the new car, a 2021 Kona EV.  It has all the bells and whistles, which is more than I need, though I’m sure I’ll appreciate the heated (and cooled!) seats.  It’s going to take a while to a) not put my left foot through the floor, and b)get used to how quiet  it is.

View of the Newton Public Library parking lot.  See the Honda, second from the right?  That’s my car. Took a few hours til I could get to it, and that still involved removing my socks and shoes to wade through the remaining lake.

On the plus side, if you have to get trapped somewhere, a library is not the worst place to be.
