You can’t simply go up to Winnie and start petting her; that would be Alarming. First you have to make just the slightest bit of noise so she knows you are coming. Then let her sniff you. After that, it’s pretty easy–just hold your hand out and she will rub her head along it in all the good spots.

Doug made some very excellent flatbread to go with some lovely pea soup for dinner tonight. I hate when the weather cools, but it at least brings some tasty dishes.

Well, a few months back I did a week of feet, and this week I’m focusing on hands. Mine, other people’s, it doesn’t matter.

I was actually trying to decide what my theme would be when I noticed that my fingers wrapped around my water glass looked pretty cool. So here we are.

Clearly, I am exhausted from photographing myself all week, and needed to lie on the grass and stare up at the clouds for a while. Very therapeutic.

There’s no particular story here. I just thought the classic “Kilroy was here” pose (only without the huge overhanging nose) would be sort of fun to take.

I am not now and never have been a morning person. Not one of those people to leap up and greet the day. Nope. Not me. At all.

I took about a dozen tries to get this shot right, and now I have a headache.

My Uncle Richard is in town for a wedding, but he managed to squeeze in a few hours to visit me and Doug in our new house. We also went to dinner; at Uncle Richard’s request, we went to a local deli where he could get chopped liver. He’s a good guy–not scary, in spite of his appearance.

The theme of the week? Me! Yes, it’s all about me this week. I’ll be getting to know the self-timer feature on my camera really well.

I don’t usually shower at night. But I spent the day painting, and unlike Doug, I am not a fastidious painter, so a brief scrub-down was necessary before putting on the ‘jammies.
