This is probably my favorite community theater. They stage 5 musicals a year, the performances are always amazing and the theater is small so all of the seats are close to the stage. Sadly, today I saw the last show of their final season. After a brief fall season, they’ll be closing at the end of this year. (Unless anyone out there is a secret multi-millionaire who wants to step in and save the theater.) sigh….
I like that Boston has an airport that is set in a location actually worth photographing.
If you want your children to know that posted rules never apply to them, only to everyone else, you need to start training them early.
today at work, I made a lava lamp. on Saturday I will show kids how to do this. my job is funny sometimes.
had a great time when my cousin Craig and his family came to visit me at work today. here he is with the kids, playing a game; the goal is stomp on only the lights for your color as they flash on the floor. very amusing to watch, and difficult to photograph.
when museums run out of money, they have to put their staff on exhibit. please don’t let this happen to me.
our contractors, not surprisingly, have pretty darn good tools. they’re storing their drills in the pantry because it has the only working outlet.
Saw Avenue Q at at the Lyric Stage today. The Lyric seats just over 200 people, so it’s a very intimate theater. This means you can really see the performers–both human and puppet–very well. For example, I had never noticed before that naked Kate Monster has boobies! Who knew!
I’m told this symbol, which is to be found in several places around the kitchen, means there is a wall stud at this location. Of course, I looked at it and said “oh god, NOW how much more money will this cost????”
we have absolutely no idea what these flowers are, but the colors are positively gorgeous and they brighten up our backyard.
