this is Snowball. I just had to pet him in spite of the fact that I am really allergic to bunnies.  I washed my hands several times and still wound up sniffy and itchy….but he’s so cute!!! and so soft!!!  how could I resist?

one of my favorite exhibits has returned. it’s all about music and contains, among other things, a number of collectables, like this awesome lunch box.  just off camera, on the right, is a Russian nesting doll of Madonna.  I’d love to see what the inner dolls look like.

we were playing around with some exhibit prototyping. we needed some nerf-type balls but didn’t have any handy, so I went to my office and retrieved this “stress ball” heart from the stash of 600.  it floats on a column of air quite nicely, I must say.

had a lovely dinner at Tempo last night with Doug and my mom, which I finished off with one of the teas from this pretty little tray.

sometimes at work I do strange things. and by the way, that’s ground-up Tums. I swear.

it must be September. the sedum is blooming.

at my brother-in-law’s for a family get together. it was too windy to keep the sliding door open, and young Evan here is terribly confused at how the dog is right there, yet Evan can’t join him.

so the butterflies are projected onto a blank wall and they fly all over the place. but if there’s a shadow in the space, they will come land on it.  this still fascinates me and we’ve had it at work for years.

according to SeriousEats, “Vermouth and soda is a classic low-alcohol drink, enjoyed throughout much of Europe. It’s past time we Americans cottoned on, especially now that delicious, complex-tasting vermouths such as Dolin are available here.”  maybe the addition of cabbage juice is what’s needed to push it over that edge.
