In between stepping off the train and walking in the front door, the rain turned to sleet and the sun came out (at the same time) and the temperature dropped a good 10 degrees. Ah, New England.
This not a very good picture. It is a significant one, however. It shows a merganser diving under the water. He could do that because the water is in a liquid state, not a solid one. In other words, IT MELTED!!!!
This is me and my mom (right) with my Auntie Janie (center). She’s my mom’s oldest friend, and I haven’t seen her in years. She’s in town for a visit, and my mom brought her over, though she didn’t know whose house it was until I opened the door. So wonderful to see her!
I admit, I’ve never actually seen a 3D printer in action before. I’ve seen on sitting dormant, and I’ve seen the finished product, but never watched one work. As I watched, I had an entertaining conversation with a 14 year old about how cool 3D printing is.
