Doug’s office had their summer outing on Thompson Island today.  It was stinking hot, but the view of the city was lovely.  Note the enormous cruise ship, the Queen Mary I, docked in the harbor.

I guess it’s a little weird that I kind of like ironing.  I like the instant gratification.

(I know it’s totally weird to take a picture of an iron, but I really wanted to have a picture today, and nothing else really came along.)

I love the colors on this plant–pinks and blues that combine into some beautiful purples.  Ain’t Nature great?

Found this note in a book I got out of the library.  

The other side says “I am glad” and  “Marcia–need book”(in two distinct handwritings)  followed by a phone number.

Taking a moment to relax in the swing.

This is a panther chameleon, so called because they have spots like a panther (leopard).  Apparently he didn’t have a name until recently, when some kids suggested calling him Skittles.  Seems appropriate.

If I may completely anthropomorphize this picture,  the babies are all yelling (probably for lunch) and the parent is looking on like,  “what have I done….”

Rachel threw a “Rainbow Party” to celebrate the Supreme Court’s decision on Friday.  Check out that beautiful cake that Doug and Rachel made.  Also, Doug is wearing a tutu.

It’s a kohlrabi spider!  Wearing a jaunty little hat!
