I often make fun of the people of Newton for getting all riled up about really stupid things (a few years ago, Tshirts that said “I went to so-and-so’s bar mitzvah” were banned because other kids would feel bad.) But…the West Newton Cinema property is an icon, and it’s been sold. It’s been around since 1938, and operated independently since 1978. Which is saying something, given the abundance of huge multiplexes. However, the new owner stated that if a non-profit formed and raised enough money, he will sell it back.

Turns out, egg shell color comes from the breed of the chicken. Which means they lied to us!! Lied!!! Which makes me wonder, what else did they lie about?
