better than therapy

Doug’s b’day gift to me arrived today, a little late, but no matter. It’s a 3 month subscription to a mail order chocolate club.  I will get different chocolates from all over the world!  I am amused that one of the bars from the first shipment came from a company that is 25 minutes away (Taza is in Somerville, for those of you unfamiliar with it).

TRIGGER WARNING:  organic chemistry images

I decided to finally start tossing my college notes.  It was an entertaining process, finding notes between me and a friend, my assorted notes to myself (“LEARN THIS!!!!!”) and just flipping through.

This right here is how I passed Organic Chemistry:  copying over my notes and color coding them.  It must have worked, because I seem to recall I did pretty well in that class.

Braille book

The blind woman I work with asked me if I would mind dropping this off at the library.  Since I’m there at least once a week anyway, I said sure.
(Hers is the large on on the bottom, the top one is my copy of the same book for comparison.  Just in case you couldn’t figure that out. 😉)

hot hot hot

So we were commenting on how these toaster oven sheet pans get so dirty in the corners.  And Doug said, I wonder if I can burn it off.  It was semi-successful on the first one.  But then he left the next one on the stove too long, and the pan melted.  And in case you’re wondering, aluminum melts at 1220°F.
