Saw Blue Man Group for the first time since….2006? Anyway, it’s been a while.  They’ve changed up the show quite a bit but still included some of my favorite bits.  It was an incredibly fantastic performance.  So much fun.

Pooh and Friends

Had my tutoring session this morning at the shady side of the library, where I’ve never explored before.  It was a lovely place to sit, and I enjoyed seeing Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore. They were created by Nancy Schon, who also made the “Make Way for Ducklings” sculptures in the Boston Public Garden.  Thanks, Nancy!

Brad and Colin

OK, it’s not a good picture, but it’s almost impossible to get good pictures of anything from the audience at any kind of performance.  The point is,  Doug and I went to see improv geniuses Brad Sherwood and Colin Mochrie from “Whose Line is it Anyway?”  And it was freakin’ hilarious.

I often make fun of the people of Newton for getting all riled up about really stupid things (a few years ago, Tshirts that said “I went to so-and-so’s bar mitzvah” were banned because other kids would feel bad.)  But…the West Newton Cinema property is an icon, and it’s been sold.  It’s been around since 1938, and operated independently since 1978.  Which is saying something, given the abundance of huge multiplexes.  However, the new owner stated that if a non-profit formed and raised enough money,  he will sell it back.
