I volunteered at a fundraising gala for The Cat Connection (the rescue org I volunteer for). There was lots of food, all of it tasty, but none of it as adorable as these cookies. (Which were also quite yummy!)

For the past couple weeks, as I am lying on the floor doing some yoga pose, I have enjoyed looking up at the skylight and seeing this image of the yellow leaves against the bright blue sky, . Figured I’d better take a photo of it before the leaves disappear. Finally took one, and Prisma-ized it.
BMN returns
The season premier of Bad Movie Night! We watched Forbidden Planet (which isn’t actually that bad, but amusing for how dated some of it is). And then we watched Robotica Distructiva. Which was positively hilarious in its awfulness.

I decided that, in spite of the completely absurd weather we’ve been having, it was time to put away the tank tops and sundresses, and get out the flannel and sweaters.
nostalgia
The local theater had a screening of “The Breakfast Club” this evening. So fun. Our host welcomed us to the “first GenX movie night” and I asked, “does that mean there will be more GenX movie nights?” And he said that is the plan. Bitchin’!
Community
The local UU church had a vigil this afternoon. I went. I needed to be around actual living humans (as opposed to the virtual ones on social media). Being UUs, they were of course extremely lovely and welcoming. 
Clean as snow
Sometimes, you spot funny products in small local stores. This amused me.
season of the witch
…hazel, that is. I’d kind of forgotten about Prisma, but I messed around with it today. Fun! I’ll have to keep this in mind.

Sukkot is the Jewish harvest festival, during which a Sukkah is built: a temporary hut constructed for the holiday, and topped with branches and other autumnal decorations. Some people build one in their yard, and eat meals there (many people even sleep there). But I guess if you don’t have a yard, that’s when you call the Sukkah-mobile.
