I joined Doug at City Hall Plaza when he finished work for the day. There were 14 ice cream vendors, each with 2-5 flavors to choose from (though there were more earlier in the day). My favorite was Campfire Peanut Butter Cup from Tillamook.

Pictionary
Searching for scrap paper this morning, we came across these…doodles? We decided that had to be from a game of Pictionary. So we’ve got…someone with a sword and shield facing a lion, maybe gladiator? someone with their hair sticking straight out? something I have no idea about; a key; a tractor? I’m guessing the next one means “heavy”; a skier having a crash? a pig with an arrow pointing at its back? a stop sign; a boat inside a boat? and….is that someone using a yo-yo straight out? No idea what most of these are supposed to mean. Please, let me know if you have any thoughts.

So Doug had a bunch of friends over for a “double-blind” whiskey tasting. Which meant I had to do all the pours, and keep the bottles hidden. Stinky. And then only one person (thanks, Chris!) managed to fill out their score sheet correctly. But listening to them go on like they were speaking another language was very entertaining to me, and they all had a really good time.

Dug out a few more college notebooks today. Found lots of fun stuff, including my Biochemistry lab reports, which were written without the help of any kind of spreadsheet or graphing program, and were hand written. Then another handwritten chart from Ecology (?). And last but not least. my beloved VertMorph notebook (that’s Vertebrate Morphology to the rest of you). I had to copy those notes too, just like organic chem, because I needed to clean up and colorize my drawings, and make my notes legible.
