Lis's Project 365

I finally have a decent manicure, and I had to strip one finger so my oxygen reader can get an accurate level.  I’ve got some kind of respiratory thing going on, so I want to be able to monitor it.

Proof that all you really need to keep kids entertained is a bunch of cardboard boxes.

Sometimes my job leads to interesting questions.  Like “why does this fish skeleton have a tongue?”  Hm.   I suspect it’s not actually the tongue, but some other structure.  So I took a picture and sent it to my buddy at the Aquarium, who is trying to track down an answer for me.

Wow….2019 marks 10 years of Project365! Ironically, this is not a particularly good shot. While I haven’t done a photo every single day since that first year, 2009, I have definitely taken a lot of photos that I might not have taken otherwise.  I enjoy going through them, and remembering the story behind the photos.  I look forward to another year of making memories to share!

 

Wasn’t this season over two months ago????

Went out for breakfast with Stephen, Sarah and Jen today.  The holidays are busy when you come in from out of town, so I’m glad we had a chance for a quick visit.  Also,  a camera with a timer is still better than a phone for pictures like this.

This guy was hanging out in front of my workplace this afternoon.  In 20 years of working there, I’ve never seen a harbor seal.  A lot of people were concerned he might be stuck, so I called the Aquarium and left a message.

Shhh….don’t tell Doug.

This is our new leopard gecko at work.  Isn’t she cute?  She needs a name….

I’ve only been summoned twice before.  The first time, I went to the courthouse and they dismissed us at noon.  The second time, it was cancelled.  I guess I can’t complain, except that I have to get to Medford during rush hour.
