As Doug walked along with a bunch of leeks poking out from his pack, he commented, “I’m reminded of that Far Side about the vegetarians….”

Went to the library to pick up a book on hold, and found there were actually TWO books on hold.  What a delightful surprise!  Now….which one do I read first????!?!?!

I find these teeny little fangs one of Gandalf’s most adorable features.

When we unpacked last week’s box, Doug spotted this carrot and said, “I guess it dresses to the left. ”  I didn’t know what that meant until some years ago I was watching a movie, in which there was a scene with the main character going to a proper tailor for the first time.  The tailor asked him, “which side do you dress?”

The nastiest-looking but least painful evidence of my trip down the stairs yesterday.

After a few months using Imperfect Foods, the only thing that seems to be consistently “imperfect” is carrots.  They’re giant, or weirdly shaped, or–in this case–have 3 carrots grow from one top. Still taste good, though.

 

I unfolded our painting dropcloth this morning and discovered it has this quite lovely modern art pattern on it. Apparently, the dots are from when Doug painted the outdoor chairs, which have large round feet. I don’t know what the burgundy color is from, but the whole pattern is pretty cool.

I’m not sure how this happened, but the cord on my hoodie somehow knotted itself into this formation.  It looks like one of those wind-blowy guys you see at car dealers and tire stores.

Getting myself set up to shoot a video for work today,  it was helpful to have Snoopy on hand to act as my stand-in so I could get the camera pointed in the right direction.

It’s common to see kitties in small hotels, bookstores and other small shops,  but this kitty was on display at a local jewelry store.
