As I said previously, I’m not a big fan of plants/flowers that are a nice neat ball, which is how chrysanthemums usually are. But I do like looking at the individual flowers, especially ones of such a vibrant color.
Apparently “veal birds” are a traditional dish that was created as a way to stretch expensive meats. Doug and I often have “pork birds” or, in this case, “chicken birds” (which seems a bit silly). He makes it as thin strips of meat, breaded, and rolled up with bacon. Mmmmmm….
I don’t like most plants that have neatly ball shaped flowers (like allium). But I do like hydrangea. While they look gorgeous in summer, I like the fading color of the fall too.
