When we sat down, Doug said, “Oh look…I guess this is where they grow more beer.”

Spotted this in West Newton Square.  As with most poetry, I don’t really get it.

I was working on a project for work, about light and reflection, and was using the laser pointer.  Which makes no noise. Yet, as soon as I started, Gandlaf, who had been sound asleep in the living room, came running in to the kitchen at top speed.  How did he know???

Went for a brief walk around the block  today and spotted this on my neighbor’s lawn.   Cute.

Peanut butter and jelly, deconstructed

As Doug walked along with a bunch of leeks poking out from his pack, he commented, “I’m reminded of that Far Side about the vegetarians….”

Went to the library to pick up a book on hold, and found there were actually TWO books on hold.  What a delightful surprise!  Now….which one do I read first????!?!?!

I find these teeny little fangs one of Gandalf’s most adorable features.

When we unpacked last week’s box, Doug spotted this carrot and said, “I guess it dresses to the left. ”  I didn’t know what that meant until some years ago I was watching a movie, in which there was a scene with the main character going to a proper tailor for the first time.  The tailor asked him, “which side do you dress?”
