We’ve had this tunnel for years, possibly for as long as we’ve had the cats, but Ferrous has only recently re-discovered it, and now he likes to spend some time in it every day.

Conversation this morning when I have finally come downstairs.
Doug:  So…happy valentine’s day.
Me:  Oh yeah.  That.  Happy valentine’s day.
Doug: Would you like potato pancakes for breakfast?
Me:  Can you make them heart-shaped
Doug (pause)  Would you like normal potato pancakes for breakfast?
But then he did this anyway.  Because he’s Doug.

I had a tuna sandwich for lunch today, and before I even opened the can, the boys were milling around, waiting for their treat of drained tuna water. Nom nom nom…

From the window inside, it looked like the critter was walking along, then maybe something came down and attacked and flew away with it.  But closer examination outside leads me to a less exciting conclusion:  that a squirrel walked up, dug up something, then walked away. 

This rather large and extremely cold package arrived today.

 

It even came with dry ice to play with!

And look what was inside!

Doug will be preparing “sliders”:  two of regular ground beef, and two of Impossible™ meat.   Stay tuned for the results of the taste test.

Ferrous is trapped by both the sun and the dining room chair.  I don’t think he minds.

Today’s grocery delivery included these special treats.  Jack made sure to tell me that he made two of them himself.  Pretty sure I know which two.  Took me a while to figure out that the cookies are shaped like the continental US.

Another Thing I Did for Work.   This one is ridiculously easy too.

Today, for work, I built this little balancing structure.  I built another one out of cardboard, but it wasn’t as photogenic.
