Doug got a new toy…a very nice tripod for his various cameras. He set it up on the porch so he could film the birds at the bath, but it was turned toward my laptop later on. I spent the afternoon feeling watched while I was working.
This may look like a field or meadow but, no….this is my dad’s next-door-neighbor’s yard. He had told me that they never mowed, but I wasn’t quite expecting this. Impressive.
Courtesy of our grocery delivery man, Jack (age 8): a riddle to help us guess what this week’s surprise is. (And yes, we guessed correctly before we unpacked it, as directed by Jack.)
Junior Robin continues to make appearances around the yard and he (she?) seems to be doing just fine. And, it would seem, is still begging for food from the parents. Not the clearest picture, but I still though it was worth posting since what’s happening in the picture is so interesting.
Someday, I will return to work, and this laptop will be returned as well. When that happens, some lucky coworker will be treated to this image of my kitties.
The lovely family has been grocery shopping for us is very excited about this new idea to have them include a surprise in each delivery–some fruit or veg or something. This week’s was dragonfruit. Sadly, we found it kind of insipid….like really washed out watermelon.
