I somehow never noticed this field of black-eyed susans that appear outside the library in the summer, and stick around through the fall.  I don’t know why they caught my eye today, but I’m glad they did.

Here’s the new car, a 2021 Kona EV.  It has all the bells and whistles, which is more than I need, though I’m sure I’ll appreciate the heated (and cooled!) seats.  It’s going to take a while to a) not put my left foot through the floor, and b)get used to how quiet  it is.

It is possible, just possible, that I might have a little bit of a “reusable bag” problem.  (And this is after I gave half of them away.)

View of the Newton Public Library parking lot.  See the Honda, second from the right?  That’s my car. Took a few hours til I could get to it, and that still involved removing my socks and shoes to wade through the remaining lake.

On the plus side, if you have to get trapped somewhere, a library is not the worst place to be.

These are the shopping bags that were in the back of the car (it’s actually about half of them, yes I have too many bags and I gave away this same amount last week. I may have a Reusable Bag Problem).  All got quite wet, so they’ve be run through the wash, and are now drying on the porch.

This little tag was on one of the very kind gifts that the parents at work distributed.  I took it off and put it…somewhere.  Doug found it and put on the arm of “my” chair.

Sometimes social media works.

Susan posted that she had eggs available from her gang of chickens.  I expressed sadness that she’s so far away. Susan says that Adam is in town, and maybe he’d be willing to take them. Which he was.  Now we  have 12 eggs fresh out of the chicken.

Went to an actual brick-and-mortar shoe store.  Fail.
Ordered a few pairs online.  Fail.
I loathe shopping for shoes.  I’d rather shop for a  bra.

The camera doesn’t quite capture how very shiny these pants were, so you’ll have to use your imagination.  And apparently, silver pants are all the rage these days. Too bad they weren’t my size.

What the heck is floor S?    Why does it come between 5 and 6?  Things I wondered about as I took the elevator to a doc appt.
