This guy looked bored out of his mind. In the 30 seconds it took me to notice him and take his picture, he wandered around the car, climbed the steps, leaned against the wall, came back to the car….
I imagine it’s kind of dull–driving wealthy people to interesting places but not getting to go into them yourself.

this is a detail from a print at an Irish pub we went to tonight. It showed many “Irish Patriots” of 1778. It looks like this guy is either putting his hat on the other guy’s head, or else stealing the hat off the other guy’s head. I suspect it’s neither, and is just badly composed.
Meanwhile, the print was originally published by someone named R. Lipsheitz and I’m guessing he wasn’t Irish.

this week I’m playing around with looking at details, picking out one small image from the big picture, as it were.
Today, Doug and I attacked the Green Bathroom–the monstrosity of a paint-job that is our upstairs bath. When we’re done, it will be the same soft yellow as the downstairs bath, but here we’ve just started in with the primer.
