my friend and former coworker Claire came to work today with her dog, Pooka. Pooka is a mini goldendoodle and is really the perfect size dog. Small enough to be manageable, but big enough to clearly be a Dog, and not a little yappy ball of fur. And very sweet.

went over a friend’s house today to drop off something I’d borrowed. unfortunately she wasn’t home, but I took a moment to look at the assorted fall decorations on her porch, including these somewhat dismembered bunnies. with pumpkin.

there’s a cute shot from Doug’s and my reception of Jeff and Rachel sharing a bowl of ice cream on the dance floor. At Rachel and Fred’s wedding, Jeff decided the episode was worth repeating.

I had a facial today. I think I actually dozed off at one point.

So back in July, Jeff and I went on an Adventure of Mystery and Danger and Stuff. We found out later that we were the winners in the photo contest (which we didn’t even know was happening). The prize? Our own private Adventure! We of course had no idea what it was, but after lots of back and forth emails with the organizer, it was finally scheduled for today–a lesson at a rock climbing gym. It was tons of fun, though I suspect we’ll both be a bit sore tomorrow.

Went out to dinner and a show to celebrate Rachel’s wedding next weekend. Rock of Ages was awesome! Rad! And lots of other 80’s slang words. It was nothin’ but a good time.
