Doug and I spent some quality time today relaxing on the couch and enjoying our respective books.  Just guess who was reading which book.

This is Shadow the skunk. He came to work today. Intentionally.

As this bird came in for a splash landing, the little girl ahead of me on the bridge called out “A swan!” to which her not-much-older sister replied, “No it’s not. It’s a duck.”  As I passed them I told their mom what it really was. She was impressed.

the folks at Cosi make some really tasty bread. And here’s why:

She’s been hanging out in an empty office. The new resident of said office will be moving in shortly. I see no reason why they can’t share.

it’s bad enough that BJs has huge boxes of cereal that probably go stale before any normal household can finish them, and cans of tuna that weigh in at 4 pounds, but can’t they at least have normal size Christmas tree ornaments?

Unless my parents dragged me there as a kid and I’ve blocked that out, this is the closest I have ever been to the Bunker Hill monument. Which is OK. History bores me. Thank you for that, Mr. McGillvary.

Doug and I went for a geocache walk today. Geocaching is great because it gives a goal when you’re out walking around. Of course it’s also fun to finally find the box or whatever and peek through the stuff in there, and read what previous geocachers have written in the notebook that’s generally in the box as well.

sometimes you just whip out your camera and snap a shot with no real thought or planning, and usually it doesn’t come out that great. but sometimes…it does.
