The lobby of the Boston Opera House looks how theaters are supposed to look. Grand and a bit imposing and telling you that you are entering someplace special. I always get a bit peeved when I see people dressed all tatty at the theater; I just want to grab them and say “look around you! look at this beautiful place! you could have at least worn something clean!”

Being blind does not stop Parker from being like most cats,  getting into places he’s really not supposed to be.  I can’t imagine there’s a thing in that cabinet that would appeal to him, given his reaction any time Doug sticks a drink under his sensitive nose.

fishy fishy fish

We’ve lost a few fish this summer, so today we went out and got some new ones. Before you let them go in the tank, you have to let them acclimate to the temperature gradually by setting them inside the tank while still in their plastic bag. Being fish, they seem very confused by this.

drink

yet another last day for someone at work today, so after work we went to a bar called Drink. It’s kind of fun; while you can certainly just order a drink, you can also just tell the bartender the kind of thing you’re in the mood for, and they’ll custom make it, possibly with these little add-in flavors, most of which were incomprehensible, at least to me..
