Lis's Project 365

Saw Ali and Laurie yesterday. We’ve all been friends since 8th grade, and while we don’t get together nearly as often as I wish we could, I still feel so lucky to still have them both in my life.

There was a troupe of Morris dancers at work today, including this young man, who told me it takes “an hour, plus one friend” to get his hair into this style.

I’m pretty sure that doesn’t include the crane, though.

so a few weeks ago I saw this Ted talk, and it looked awesome and I told two of my coworkers about it and they also thought it looked awesome and we all agreed we had to try this so today we finally did and man, was it disappointing.

such is the life of a scientist.

this was the first time I can remember when they just made the blanket statement that every train would be delayed. somewhere between 5 and 30 minutes. mine departed a respectable 20 minutes late.

because who doesn’t love free stuff!

This is my mom’s cockatiel, Petey. Or, as she often calls  him, Petey-Wetey. He’s a very happy little guy, funny, and I like him.

so I did not realize until I typed the date for this entry that there was a reason why the line at the Border was so long! Silly me.

it’s kind of alarming that this is not the first picture of a box of hair that I’ve taken at work. maybe even more alarming than my coworker taking a glance at the unlabeled box and exclaiming, “oh! I bet that’s the box of hair!”
