This was at about 10:00 this morning; there were still a few hours to go.

It sure is pretty; too bad it has to be such a big pain in the butt.

I love the door handles at REI stores.

Saw Jersey Boys today with my mom. It was a lot of fun–the music is great and the performances were outstanding. It was not, however, “the best thing I’ve ever seen,” as I overheard one woman saying. To each their own.

going way beyond your basic “teddy bear, teddy bear, ” these kids were amazing! as though double-dutch isn’t challenging enough, here’s the old leapfrog-through-the-jump-rope trick.

sometimes you can find the  most delightful things while wandering around the office space at work.

Found this waiting in my mailbox today, from the Union of Concerned Scientists, who keep sending me shit. No letter, no note, just this sticker. Which is, of course, now stuck on my office door, because it’s awesome.

I love the Great Harvest Bread Company.  You can go in and get a free slice of bread and nothing else, and they really don’t seem to mind. Today I had a slice of their fantabulous cinnamon swirl bread, still warm from the oven. Mmmmmmmm….

Because of our trip there is, of course, no food in the house. Which can only mean one thing…a trip to Russo’s!

At this point, we’ve been awake for about 30 hours, just spent the last three with an incredibly fussy toddler behind us, and all we want is to get our luggage and go home.

Doug and I spent the day moving around the various salons and patios at the hotel, killing time until our late night flight. This handsome dude was in the outdoor patio, guarding the “pool” (which was all of ten feet long).
