Heaven forbid we go 24 hours without some display of the next big holiday.

Medical equipment, or torture device?   This is for all the guys who may have wondered what the mammogram machine looks like.  It looks so benign, just sitting there…waiting.

I’ve been going through my Dad’s stuff, and came across a photo album, and this picture was in it.  Weird to see the Pru without its companion Hancock Tower.

Mom and I went to see a Randy Rainbow show.  It was really funny, and we had a good time. And excellent seats! 5th row orchestra!

Spotted this at Whole Foods, right next to the credit card reader.  While paying with your palm sounds convenient, it also sounds a bit creepy to me.

I somehow never noticed this field of black-eyed susans that appear outside the library in the summer, and stick around through the fall.  I don’t know why they caught my eye today, but I’m glad they did.

Here’s the new car, a 2021 Kona EV.  It has all the bells and whistles, which is more than I need, though I’m sure I’ll appreciate the heated (and cooled!) seats.  It’s going to take a while to a) not put my left foot through the floor, and b)get used to how quiet  it is.

It is possible, just possible, that I might have a little bit of a “reusable bag” problem.  (And this is after I gave half of them away.)

View of the Newton Public Library parking lot.  See the Honda, second from the right?  That’s my car. Took a few hours til I could get to it, and that still involved removing my socks and shoes to wade through the remaining lake.

On the plus side, if you have to get trapped somewhere, a library is not the worst place to be.

These are the shopping bags that were in the back of the car (it’s actually about half of them, yes I have too many bags and I gave away this same amount last week. I may have a Reusable Bag Problem).  All got quite wet, so they’ve be run through the wash, and are now drying on the porch.
