the place I often go for lunch always has a tray of pita bread (white and whole wheat) for people to take to go with their salads or whatever. this week they also have matzah. this is why living in the Boston area rocks.
but what about sitting?
this couch is sitting on the road into the commuter parking lot I use. it’s been there for a few weeks now. I’ve never seen anyone sitting on it.
all phloxed up
last year, not only did these plants never bloom, but they were scraggly and pathetic looking, and we weren’t convinced they’d even survive. now they are giving us beautiful pink and purple flowers. (the blue ones in the middle are siberian squills.)
not Buddah
Hotei is the god of abundance and good health. He’s one of the seven lucky gods, and not a bad thing to see when you enter a room.
being supportive
so the wall between our ex-kitchen and ex-sunroom is gone. in its place are these two temporary supporting walls, which are keeping the ceiling in place until the permanent beam is built

bunches of sunshine
we ordered a few different types of daffodils last fall, including some miniature ones. We didn’t realize quite how miniature they would be, but they are delightful.
patient pup
this dog had focus. I watched several people walk by and some tried to get his attention, but he was not going to miss by a second the moment when his person came back outside.
ex-pantry
this used to be the pantry. now it’s a miniature torture device.
“put them in the iron maiden.”
“excellent!”

swimsuit
came very close to not making it to the pool tonight. I was just so friggin’ tired. But I dragged my ass in and did the class and I’m glad I did. But I’m still really tired.
On another note, god bless Lands End for selling suits by bra size.
wooly wooly
there’s fluffy bits of insulation clinging to the walls and ceiling of our ex-sunroom. it’s like a sheep exploded in there.
