This is Jerry, the mascot of the Summer of Play. Also known as Jerry the Sop. Sounds like a Mafia name. Don’t mess with Jerry the Sop. Give me an attitude about wearing a mask? I’ll send you to Jerry the Sop. You don’t want that.
Local PBS station had a fundraiser which I happily contributed to: learn to paint like Bob Ross! While I’m not as pleased with my painting as I might have been, I enjoyed the process.
I love these mini watermelons from Imperfect Foods. The size is not the imperfection, though– they have some brown marks on the outside. Who cares? You eat the inside, right?

At the top of the drive to our cabin was this huge meadow of ferns. As we learned from hiking the Fern Trail down to Tiny Pond, there are many different kinds of ferns in the area, though we had some difficulty telling them apart.
