Another paint bar event with Emmeline.  Great to see her, and the painting was lots of fun.

No, I’m not being culturally insensitive.  This was a planned organized event.  Still kind of surprising to see, though.

We got some lovely purple potatoes in our Boston Organics bin this week, and they turned blue in the pot, making a colorful addition to our dinner.

This is Roz.  She’s an African bullfrog and weighs 2 1/2 pounds.

She’s named for the character from Monsters Inc.  The resemblance is striking (click through if you don’t know what Roz looks like.)

Went out for tapas for Jeff’s birthday (very delicious!!  http://www.pintxopincho.com/index.html) then back to his and Claire’s place for pie,  not cake.

This time, instead of the mess being inside the house, it’s outside the house.  Which I guess is better in some ways…

I don’t really like eggplant, but I didn’t realize there are so many varieties!  Eight types of eggplant….who knew!?

….sounds like the title of a pretentious book.

This is what it looks like when a ball python bites you without intending to do any actual damage.  It bleeds more than you’d expect, and it smarts a bit, but that’s about all. Makes a good story, more than anything.
