Doug and I have almost the exact same photo today, but this bird was so unusual, we really didn’t have much choice.  We saw some other good birds today–a green heron, a beautiful male wood duck–but didn’t get good photos of them.

I don’t know what it is about bearded dragons that make people want to put things on their heads, but if you google “bearded dragon hats” you will find more images than really makes any sense.

This claims to be a children’s game, but it sounds like a new recreation drug.  “Hey, man, have you tried poppin’ hoppies?”

Sometimes the kitties’ play leaves the rugs in a lumpy mess.  It’s always best to check underneath before pulling the rug straight.

Another paint bar event with Emmeline.  Great to see her, and the painting was lots of fun.

No, I’m not being culturally insensitive.  This was a planned organized event.  Still kind of surprising to see, though.

Bet you didn’t know stegosauruses liked popcorn, did ya?

We got some lovely purple potatoes in our Boston Organics bin this week, and they turned blue in the pot, making a colorful addition to our dinner.

This is Roz.  She’s an African bullfrog and weighs 2 1/2 pounds.

She’s named for the character from Monsters Inc.  The resemblance is striking (click through if you don’t know what Roz looks like.)

Went out for tapas for Jeff’s birthday (very delicious!!  http://www.pintxopincho.com/index.html) then back to his and Claire’s place for pie,  not cake.
