This flower comes in lots of colors, but this deep wine is probably my favorite.

Since Doug got himself a new camera, I have been playing around a bit with the old one.  Not sure I’ll ever really get into the “big girl” camera, but this is definitely a picture I couldn’t get with the point-and-shoot.  Ferrous has been keeping a close eye on Black Kitty all evening…

Yes.  These are train-shaped crayons.  One of my coworkers made them.

Now, I’ve seen spinach pasta, tomato pasta and even squid ink.  But this was a new one on me.

Found a spiffy cheese board at the First Parish yard sale.  Doug and I entertain a lot, and our friends seems to like cheese, so it was five bucks well spent

When Doug and I went to the Galapagos, we didn’t want to deal with checking our luggage.  Our bags were light and it’s just easier that way.  Except for the issue of sunscreen–we’d need to bring far more than is allowed by the TSA.  So we decided we’d mail it to ourselves at the hotel.   It hadn’t arrived by the time we departed the hotel for the islands, and still hadn’t arrived when we returned to the hotel.  Apparently, it made it there in early May. And just showed back up on our doorstep. So…..now we have plenty of sunscreen for the summer.

Newton has placed several beautifully painted pianos around the city for anyone to play if the spirit moves them.  Boston did this a few years back, and I still love the idea.

Spent another Sunday working in the yard.  I love our backyard oasis….it’s just so peaceful back here….
