Why would I take the last sudafed from the pharmacy in my desk, and put the empty box back in the drawer???

Happy New Year! Another year of not-quite-365 begins….

Remember when Silly Bands were all the rage? This set appeared on an empty desk, and a coworker and I couldn’t quite figure out what they were supposed to be. (I thought one of them maybe looked like North Carolina?) Guess that’s what happens when you buy the knockoff — “Goofy Bands” — instead of the real thing.

I know some people think it’s odd that I read every page of a book, from cover to cover, while most folks start with Chapter 1. But see? if I did that, I’d have missed this gem.

In addition to the traditional eating of Chinese food last night, we had a Yankee swap….for socks. Everyone brought a pair of wrapped socks. I got these, my bear-foot socks. I’m quite pleased with them.

After the appetizers had been cleared, Rachel realized that she had 3 forks. So a bunch of handed over the forks we weren’t using, figuring more forks is better.

This guy was just hanging out in the lobby of MGH, radiating coolness and Christmas cheer.

Getting ready to shoot up

This holiday card from my friend Coe and her girlfriend is easily the best holiday card I have seen in a really long time…possibly ever. On the reverse side is an “I Spy” type list of things to search for in the photo. Brilliant!
