I don’t like inflatable holiday decorations, and this is part of the reason why.
toppings
Yesterday at work there was a goodbye party for a coworker who’s moving to Japan. She said she will miss french fries, so the party featured $50 worth of fries with various toppings people brought in. Some of the leftovers were in the lunch room this morning. I question the maple syrup. And I don’t know what’s in the jar.
octopus
I went upstairs this morning to chat with a coworker, and when I came back downstairs, I had acquired a bag of dog hair (not pictured), and an octopus. Now…what to name him?
snow tires
Doing our part to make sure it doesn’t snow too much.
salt
Our salt and pepper shakers are very cute; I think they were a gift from Ali and Chris. There is a matching pepper shaker, but this was just sitting on the table by itself.
elf (costume hanging) on a shelf
Just in case anybody at work is overcome by the Christmas spirit and needs to dress up as an elf. I have not been moved to do so.
clock
In the right light, my bedside clock makes a super groovy reflection on my night table.
tapas
Went to a kind-of-new tapas place for dinner tonight. The atmosphere was unremarkable (much like this somewhat blurry photo), but the food was delicious. But the best part was the company–we got together with Emmeline, who we haven’t seen in too long. I’m glad we’ve kept in touch.
bumper sticker
My car doesn’t often leave Massachusetts, but when it does, it will be spreading this message.
coelophysis
That’s what kind of dinosaur this is. Or rather, was. You can read more about it here:
