As I waited outside a local thrift store today, I listened to the woman ahead of me chatting to her friend. It went something like this:
“Thrift stores always have crazy things like this.”
“I have a bunch of things like this at home. I really don’t need anymore.”
“The legs I have at home don’t stand up by themselves like these do. I have to store them upside down. These are better.”
“I wonder how much they are.”
At this point she goes to speak to an employee. The employee disappears for a moment and come back with a SOLD tag that she attaches to the legs.
Hilarious.

The picture’s not great, but it goes with the story.
Do you remember last year when there was a flicker who liked to drum on our neighbor’s chimney cap? (If you don’t remember, check here. ) Well…he’s moved on. To OUR chimney cap!!!

Beyoncé chicken family
I’ve driven by this house many times. The first time I noticed it, there was just one chicken, and I thought, “Clearly, someone was inspired by the Beyoncé chicken story. I need to take a picture of this.” And of course I kept forgetting. Over the years, the chicken family has grown. Today, I drove by it for the first time in a long time, and actually had a moment to pull over and take a family portrait.
If you do not know the story of the Beyoncé chickens, you are missing out. Read it here
