This bump has been in our sidewalk since we moved in, a result of the nearby tree’s roots growing underneath. Last summer, we asked to have the tree removed. They finally did it this spring, which made the bump crack, and even more hazardous. I asked the tree guy about it, and he said I’d need to contact the city and definitely mention that a friend broke her fucking leg when she tripped on it over the winter.
At about 7:00 tonight, I realized I hadn’t taken a picture yesterday . So, since I was standing by the fridge, I took a picture of this magnet that lives on the door.
I didn’t know anything about the tools use to cut tile, but I wasn’t picturing something quite this imposing.
Doug took me out for dinner for my birthday, and the restaurant gave us this complimentary slice of cake. Which was very nice, and also really really delicious.
Pretty as this is, I wish the blossoms stayed on the tree for longer.
When Doug and I moved to this house, the 2nd floor bath was painted this godawful combination of sponge painted greens with some “antiqued” gold pain. It was hideous. So we painted it yellow, but continued to call it The Green Bathroom. Now, years later, the green bathroom is restored to actually being green.
Tonight was the season finale for Bad Movie Nights (Sharktopus vs Whalewolf, followed by To Die is Hard). I decided it would also be a good opportunity to celebrate my birthday with some friends. I do love ice cream cake…
These signs are posted all over the Marathon route, and and all the streets that connect to it. I have to plan my errands on Marathon Mondays because of this.
I have spotted this spider in our (remaining) bathroom every day this week. That’s fine with me, as long as it’s taking care of any bugs that might appear.
