so I’m leaving work today and I suddenly remember that I haven’t taken a picture yet and I’m not likely to see anything inspiring tonight. Then, along come five people on Segways….

We spent yesterday morning finally unpacking the boxes in the basement. And look! it’s the basement floor!

It’s actually in pretty good shape down there; just a few more boxes to deal with and then a few other organization things.

My boss usually doesn’t work on Saturdays, but she had to come in briefly today. She brought her puppy, Oliver, but while she was running around, Oliver had to wait in one of the larger offices.

Not surprisingly, Winnie has been pretty freaked out with the whole move. She’s taken to hiding in her food box. But for the past few days, she’s spending more time exploring the house, and she seems to be getting more relaxed.

I have no idea who unearthed this puzzle at work, or where it had been hiding. But it only took two days of cooperative effort by the floor staff to put it together to show the world Donny Osmond in all his many forms (minus one sad little puzzle piece).

It’s so hard to pick a favorite, isn’t it?

I’m still taking the commuter rail; I’m even using the same line. But I pick it up much closer to town. The afternoon schedule means I get home about the same time as before, but the morning schedule allows me to sleep a full hour later. Heaven.

In a good year, getting your car inspected is one of those tasks that’s easy to forget about. But given that we just moved, are still unpacking and don’t know where a bunch of our stuff is…well, I’m happy I remembered to get it done today, since my next Monday off is Memorial Day.

This time it was the master bath that got the facelift. It’s got a pretty tall ceiling so I had to put the roller on a pole to reach the high spots.
