One of the goals of this project was to develop a better eye for photos. I certainly got more experimental with my photography as the year went on, and got to know my camera’s features. So I suppose my eye did improve. What do you think?
shortly after we moved, friends gave us this small statue of a winged lion as a gift. It’s very cool, and I don’t know why I didn’t take a picture of it earlier, since it is also quite photogenic.
We went out this afternoon to get more fish for the tank. After we moved, some of them didn’t survive the stress, and then the tank had a fungus problem. Hopefully, everything is settled out now, and the new fish will thrive.
It would appear that Parker is also a fan of the Mrs. Murphy mysteries. I can hardly blame him–they are a lot of fun to read. 
Much like little kids, what cats really get excited about on Christmas is the wrapping paper. And what better thing to find inside your wrapping paper than a nice warm Winnie!
We celebrated Christmas Eve in the way Our People have done for generations…we went out for Chinese food. Which was a lot more fun than ripping up toilet paper (you’ll just have to click on the link for an explanation).
I can’t help but wonder who thought it was a good idea to make Christmas lights shaped like the Pillsbury dough boy. 
At least they don’t replicate his annoying little giggle.
I have never been any good at making paper dolls. I always seem to fold them wrong. My coworker made these. She’ crafty. I’m not. But I’m OK with that–I got other mad skillz.
After weeks of waiting and several games of phone tag with various mostly non-helpful people, I finally got my flu shot today. After all the drama, it was incredibly anticlimactic. My arm is a wee bit sore. A small price to pay for avoiding The Swine.
For Tess next door (the lighter dog, on the right), this is her first winter. As Doug said, dogs tend to approach new things with joy and excitement. That’s certainly true for these two.
