the blue Siberian squills usually come up earlier in the season, but we think we may have buried them too deep. either way, they look lovely next to the daffodils.

The theme this week is Signs of Spring.

This is the neighbor kid on one side playing with the dog that lives on the other side. He doesn’t have his own dog, but he plays with this one all the time when the weather’s nice. They’d been at it for quite a while when I snapped them taking a much-needed rest before they were off and running again.

yep, I still do it the old-fashioned way…with a pen and a paper calendar.

There’s a little theater at work where short kid-friendly plays are performed. For many kids it’s their first live theater experience, so it’s important that it includes everything you would expect, including tickets.

The thing I like about this timetable is that even though it’s digital, it still makes the tik-tik-tik noise when the schedule updates.

remember circle time? the teacher reads a story, followed by deep analysis of said story and open discussion of whatever is important to a group of 5 year olds. those were the days.

Happily, the electronic ticker tape was correct today about the predicted arrival of the train. there was at least one day this winter that every time it scrolled by, it actually added a few minutes. that’s not how it’s supposed to work.

still living in the storm drain. I wonder if we’ll see the babies again this year.

We have a special pitcher of water for the plants (it’s just allowed to sit out) and special water for Parker (with “kitty mouthwash” in it). I guess it’s kind of amusing.
