Mole Day is celebrated on 10/23 from 6:02am to 6:02pm. If you don’t get it, you never took chemistry. 

if you took all the mascara I’ve worn over my entire life and put it all together, it would still  not equal the amount of mascara I wore today.  happy halloween.

one of the downtown areas invited kids to paint the shop windows for Halloween. this was my favorite.

another National Chemistry Week celebration come and gone. Every year, we get a little better at it. These year, we had a goggles station; made sure everyone got a pair, and set up the expectation of doing science!

I don’t know what this tool is but it is M-shaped.  There were several of them lined up outside the building.

some people take their pumpkin carving very seriously.

someone carefully peeled a price sticker of something and affixed it to this subway pole. I find this kind of funny. I guess they were bored.

even if you’re not really into bugs (which I’m not either), you have to admit, this guy is pretty cool lookin’.

when I get visitors who think they’re too old too just play with magnets, I show them this trick.  Then they spend the next 10 minutes trying to do it, and improve on it. Success.
