Today was my longtime coworker and one-time office-mate Tim’s last day at work. Another coworker, who is very skilled in cake decoration, made him an adorable cake that featured some of the projects he’s worked on over the years.

So this is what I did today. I’m very tired now.

We spent the afternoon walking around Spectacle Island today; that’s what Doug wanted to do for his birthday. It’s easy to forget this spot is only 20 minutes from the city.

Apparently all these little critters were left behind at work at some point in the past. Someone at work is going to post their picture online in hopes that some of them will be claimed and go home.

Crossing the bridge this morning, I noticed these squares off to one side. Are they some kind of typical Fort Point art installation, or is someone testing different types of concrete for re-coating the bridge? Hmm…..

Why is everyone in such a goddamn hurry to see the end of summer and bring on all the pumpkin???

Others have posted pictures of the porch we’ve enjoyed for the past 11 years, since that house will not be available to us next year, and possibly ever. This is the house we will be renting next year. It has a beautiful ocean view, and is even closer to the ferry, restaurants, and other stuff we like.

Liz brought a package of kitty themed tattoos (or “Cattoos, as they were called) and we all had some fun with them.
