V was harder to find than I expected.  I’m a little concerned about W…

The forecast I checked this morning said it would be cold and cloudy all day.  No one said anything about snow. (Which, granted, didn’t last long, but it was still a surprise.)

The thing I find most interesting about this picture is that I took it through 2 clear windows, and 1 screen, and it actually came out pretty well.

 

So in August of 2012 I started I theme I called “AlphaQuest” where I tried to find the letters the alphabet in everyday object–cracks in the pavement, that sort of thing.  In January of 2014 I posted for the letter T (I didn’t find something every day, so it took a while to get that far).  And haven’t posted since.  Which is lame.  So, picking up where I left off, here is a nose clip in the shape of a letter U.

Doug got  me 3 different varieties of hot chocolate.  Tonight we tried 2 of them.
Years ago, one of the British counselors at camp showed me the best way to enjoy a mug of hot chocolate.  First, make your hot chocolate: fancy stuff, Swiss Miss, whatever, doesn’t matter.  Then take a bit of solid chocolate, like a Halloween candy size, and dip it in the mug (we had these lollipops which we will be able to use multiple times). Stir it around for a sec, then remove it and suck off the melted chocolate.  Repeat, alternating with sips from the mug.

My prescription changed just enough to merit getting new specs.  Kelly, the optician I’ve worked with for years, always brings over around 10 options.  It’s kind of fun.
