Right now, this is my favorite building in the entire world.

Tonight we compared 2 of the hot chocolates Doug got me for Christmas.  You can see they are very different looking. I had the one on the left.  It started out very chocolatey, but became more bitter.  6/10
The other one was lighter and sweeter.  I didn’t have a whole mug of it, but my small sip was tasty.

We were at REI and the line was long, so I told Doug that I would wander around and see if I could find a W anywhere.  Lo and behold, this folding camp chair fit the bill nicely.

The shelter I volunteer with is having a fundraiser, partnered with See’s Chocolates.  So of course I had to order some.  For the kitties.  Not FOR the kitties.  You know what I mean.

 

This was our first snowfall that really needed a shovel.  Fortunately, it wasn’t a whole heck of a lot.   It sure is pretty.  I just wish we can train it to stay off roads and walkways.

We had friends over last week and tried out our recently acquired fondue pot.  There was a good bit leftover, so Doug turned it into individual servings, and we had that for dessert.  Very tasty.

I had an appointment in Boston this afternoon, and with the way the train schedule works, I arrived quite early and had some time.   There’s an interactive art exhibit around the city, so I wandered around looking for the various exhibits.  The tall flowers were fun–you press buttons and they light up and play music. But I really got a giggle from the Kraken in the office building.

Since inheriting Ernie’s scratching stool (see post February 10, 2025), Ferrous has taken to sitting on it and pushing the curtain aside with his nose, so he can keep tabs on what’s going on in the neighborhood.

Went to see “Chicago” at the Hanover Theater in Worcester today.  Absolutely fantastic production!!!  Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

My library has built these neat little cubbies where a person can study with someone else.  Perfect if you’re just studying together, or working on a project quietly if there’s no study rooms available.
