The landscape crew planted a bunch of new shrubs in the corner of the yard as a “nursery” to hold them there over the winter. The crew will be back in spring to finish up the rest of the job.

Our grass is gone.

The landscape team was back today.  They did some serious pruning on a bunch of our plants, took out a few (some of which will be moved and replanted elsewhere), and left themselves a nice blank slate to work with.  It’s a little alarming, but I’m sure it will all look fantastic in the end…which doesn’t happen til spring…

We decided that we’re just not really capable of maintaining an attractive yard, and are both far too lazy to stay on top of such a thing.  So we hired professionals.  And today….the digging begins…..

The other day I had a prescription to pick up, but I was not in condition to drive safely.  Doug had a 6:00 meeting immediately after he got home, and would not be able to pick it up.  So I posted to the local FB group, asking for help. The woman who picked it up, also got me some goodies. A few other people responded with offers of grocery shopping, other errands, and general well wishes. Sometimes….I have hope for the human race.

I decided to have a tuna sandwich for lunch today.  I got the can out of the pantry and the can opener out of the drawer.  Turned and saw that the two previously sleeping felines were suddenly very interested in what I was doing. Note that I had not actually opened the can of tuna yet.  Just got it out.

So I had a coupon from a place called Crumbl in Waltham.  It’s a bit out of my way, but I figured if I had a reason to be near there, I’d stop in. As you can see, I got some cookies. Really…..big…..cookies.

Even though I think it’s obnoxious, I understand why companies make cereals and foods based on young children’s TV programs and movies.  But….Stranger Things?? Have the folks at Kellogg’s actually ever seen the show?  I find this weird.
