I love these mini watermelons from Imperfect Foods. The size is not the imperfection, though– they have some brown marks on the outside. Who cares? You eat the inside, right?
From newtonoutdoors.com “Newton Out Doors involves the outdoor installation of 25 “upcycled” wooden doors decorated by local and regional artists and placed in and around eight of Newton’s village centers.”
I like this one.
At the top of the drive to our cabin was this huge meadow of ferns. As we learned from hiking the Fern Trail down to Tiny Pond, there are many different kinds of ferns in the area, though we had some difficulty telling them apart.
The hike to Tiny Pond wasn’t so bad, but the hike up Tiny Mountain was challenging for two out of shape city dwellers. We found the tiny shelter on the way back down.
I had a good chuckle when I discovered that this was no ordinary chair. The door underneath hides the chamber pot, and the cushion hides the hole in the chair. Given the absolute downpour we got this first night, I might have resorted to the chamber pot if the cabin had not had plumbing.
