When I came in to turn on Oliver’s lights this morning, he was out from under his log, and resting on the branch. He’s always been photogenic, way back before he had a name, and I called him Mr NewSnake.
We had to mix up some drinks as props for today’s photo shoot. None of them are real; Doug didn’t want to waste his booze. Also, it was 10:00 in the morning.
At my request, Doug got me an ice cream cake: black raspberry chocolate swirl on top, death by chocolate on the bottom. I guess the silver lining is, I only have to share it with Doug, and not a whole party of people.
Steve brought this to me yesterday, and after it spent 24 hours in quarantine, Doug and I enjoyed it as a pre-birthday dessert. Super yummy delicious! And perfect, since I have the palate of a 5 year old.
This beautiful box appeared on our front porch today. It’s in quarantine on the back porch for 24 hours and then I will dig in. Sadly, it had no signature, but I have a good guess who it’s from…
The intent was to focus on the blooming flower, not the still-closed one behind it. But it’s hard to see what’s happening on a small screen in the bright sun.
