Got my very own mask and snorkel today. During our Galapagos trip, we will be snorkeling almost daily, so it seemed worthwhile to get one that was fitted properly.
Month: January 2016
quack
There were duck eggs available at our meat share pickup this month, so we got some. They taste pretty much like chicken eggs, but the white is firmer and the overall taste is a little bit richer. Most importantly, Doug’s egg sensitivity doesn’t seem to have transferred over.
towels
Got some new towels. They’ve been washed and folded and are ready to dry us off.
Spocked!
Back in July, I got a birthday card with a five dollar bill inside from a Canadian friend. (My birthday is in April.) When I asked him about it, he apologized for being so late, but thought I’d enjoy the chance to “Spock” a bill, and he’d been waiting for one to come around so he could send it to me. I figure it’s only fair that I’ve since waited 6 months to get around to doing it.
sweatshirt
I’ve had this sweatshirt for at least 10 years–way before the little yellow hydrant-shaped characters came along, and now when people see it, they say “oh! minions!! I love them!” . I want to add some text to it: “Do you even really know what the word “minions” means??!?”
..sigh…
Mike Wazowski
The big boss went on a field trip today to check out the Pixar exhibit at the science museum, before it’s gone, and she took a couple of us with her.
hey mister tally man…
The bananas we get from Boston Organics are usually just barely ripe; after a day, they’re perfect for me. Doug likes them more ripe than that. But last week’s bananas were still very green–here they are 5 days later, as compared to some still left from a couple weeks back.
New Year’s Brunch
Even Mr Green Dinosaur loves Doug’s waffles!
