The staff “holiday party” was tonight, and as is my tradition, I did not attend. But I must say, my colleagues who did the decorations did a wonderful job.
When I got home tonight, Doug said “Look! You got a package!” and pointed to a large-ish box. To which I said, “Hmmm.” When he asked what was wrong, I said “Well, I ordered a pair of earrings, but I really hope they didn’t use such a big box just for that.”
There’s a mouse using the mouse on my desk! (when you’re done laughing at my cleverness, amuse yourself by seeing how many interesting items you can find around me.)
Look! The bulbs are peeking out their little tips! Too bad it’s only January13th, and they’ve still got a good 2 months before it’s really time for them to wake up.
Every time we do shrinky-dinks at work, I tell visitor how they can make key chains, or jewelry or luggage tags. So I figured I’d make a sample pair of earrings for next time.
Today at work we played with ice. It sounds really silly, but kids got really into trying different materials and tools on their ice cubs, and many of them actually stuck around for 20 or 30 minutes. Good fun.
Picked up our meat share today and got some eggs, as usual. When I opened the carton, I commented on the one lone little blue egg. The farmer offered to replace it but I said it was fine, especially given the two monstrous eggs that more than balance it out. Plus, I like the blue egg.
We had a crowd of people over for brunch today, so Ferrous retreated to his spot at the top of the stairs, where he could safely observe the festivities.
I think I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve gotten poor quality stuff in our Boston Organics box, and they are always very quick to respond when it does happen.
