This time I was cutting veggies and the cats were milling about, so I actually tossed them the slice of carrot to see what they would do. in the end, they declared it uninteresting. more evidence that it is green vegetables that they really hate.
I think it’s cool that hydrangeas’ flower color depends on the pH of the soil, but it’s especially cool that one bush can have flowers of two different colors.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I just never know what I’ll see as I walk down the back corridor at work…

I was crouched down, talking to a kid about the turtles, when this interesting reflection caught me eye. that the turtle happened to swim by as I was taking the shot was just good luck.
every morning we come downstairs, and this is what the rug looks like. it often looks like this again when we get home in the afternoons. we grow convinced that the cats never sleep.
