I have no idea who unearthed this puzzle at work, or where it had been hiding. But it only took two days of cooperative effort by the floor staff to put it together to show the world Donny Osmond in all his many forms (minus one sad little puzzle piece).

It’s so hard to pick a favorite, isn’t it?

I’m still taking the commuter rail; I’m even using the same line. But I pick it up much closer to town. The afternoon schedule means I get home about the same time as before, but the morning schedule allows me to sleep a full hour later. Heaven.

This is what I saw as I entered the allergy clinic today at Mass General.

In a good year, getting your car inspected is one of those tasks that’s easy to forget about. But given that we just moved, are still unpacking and don’t know where a bunch of our stuff is…well, I’m happy I remembered to get it done today, since my next Monday off is Memorial Day.

This time it was the master bath that got the facelift. It’s got a pretty tall ceiling so I had to put the roller on a pole to reach the high spots.

and this, boys and girls, is why you don’t go sticking your fingers into animals’ cages. let that be a lesson to you.

the animal, by the way, was a ferret.

This is the Metro Cafe, where I often go for lunch. They’ve got subs, salad bar, hot lunches, pizza and some tasty cookies. A lot of people who work in the area go there, but the lines always move pretty quick, and the food is tasty.

This is the Mass. Pike at 5:45pm. The strange thing here is that it’s the inbound side that’s all backed up, and the outbound side is fine.

A bunch of us got together to watch the season finale of Lost. As usual, it left more questions than it answered.

Our friend Sabrina gave us a housewarming gift of a jar of cookie mix–all the ingredients were in the jar, except for eggs and butter. Our plan was to make them tonight and bring them to the Lost finale party that Sabrina and Michael are hosting tomorrow.

But we lost power. Figuring that people were making cookies long before they had mixers, we went ahead and mixed up the dough. We can bring it over tomorrow and bake the cookies fresh.
